START YOUR DAY WITH BREAKFAST

Do you eat breakfast every morning? If not, your strength, endurance, mood and problem-solving abilities may be suffering throughout the day. In addition, eating breakfast can actually help you maintain your weight because it helps control snacking later in the day. Try these quick and easy breakfast ideas:

  • A yogurt and fruit smoothie
  • A hard-boiled egg and fresh fruit
  • A whole wheat bagel, toast or English muffin with peanut butter
  • High-fiber cereal with milk and a piece of fruit
  • Leftovers from lunch or dinner

If you usually skip breakfast because you don't have time to prepare it in the morning, get it ready the night before, such as portioning out some leftovers from dinner or hard-boiling eggs ahead of time.
