Washington state - HB 1087 Long Term Services and Supports Trust Act
  • All W-2 employees (everyone here at SHSD) is subject to the tax
  • The tax rate will start at 0.58% of $100.00 per month
  • The tax will become effective January 1, 2022
  • The benefits will become available January 1, 2025
  • There are few exceptions, for our staff, only one would apply: Having qualifying Long Term Care insurance in place prior to November 1, 2021.
  • Exceptions will be submitted and approved via the Employment Security Department
